Codebreaker is a social enterprise. That is not a label on a website — it is how the company is built.
What it means, briefly
A social enterprise works like any other company: it has clients, it invoices, it has to be profitable. The difference is what happens to the profit and why the company exists. Here, most of the profit goes to a social mission, and the way we hire and work follows the same direction.
Put simply: the better we do as a software company, the more we can do for the people we support.
What we are working towards

Support for people in vulnerable situations
We find people from vulnerable groups and support them into work, through training, information sessions, counselling and mediation.

Income people can rely on
The main goal is for people living close to poverty to have an income they can count on, not a one-off handout.

At least four jobs
We have committed to creating at least four jobs, mainly for people in vulnerable situations.

Hiring without discrimination
We recruit on ability, not on age, gender, ethnicity or social status, with particular attention to those who find work harder to reach.
What happens to the profit
The split is not something we decide again each year. It is how the company is built.

It goes to projects supporting people in vulnerable situations: educational programmes, help for disadvantaged families, and assistance in social emergencies.
