IT consulting and technical support

Sometimes the problem does not call for another application.

It happens often: someone proposes an expensive solution and you have no way of knowing whether it fits. Or a project has stalled and you cannot work out why. This is where someone from outside helps — someone with nothing to sell you.

What we do
Analyse, explain and tell you honestly what is worth doing
Who it is for
Anyone making a technical decision without being technical
How it starts
With the question that is bothering you

Signs you need this

  • You received a quote and have no way of judging whether the price and the solution are reasonable.
  • A project is long past its deadline and it is not clear where it got stuck.
  • The software you use is old and you do not know whether to repair or replace it.
  • You have to choose between several options and they all sound equally good in the pitch.
  • You have lost the person who handled the technical side.
  • You want a second opinion before signing something long-term.

What you actually get

  • A written opinion, in normal language, that you can take into a meeting.
  • The available options, with what you gain and lose in each.
  • A realistic estimate of time and cost for each option.
  • The questions you should ask a supplier before signing.
  • Where it applies: the finding that you need do nothing right now.

STEP BY STEP

How it goes, from the first conversation to the end

Each step also says what is expected of you. It is usually less than people fear.

  1. 01

    You tell us the question

You do not need a prepared document. Telling us what decision has to be made, or what is not working, is enough.

    Partea ta

Bring the quotes, messages or documents you already have.

  2. 02

    We look at what exists

We analyse the systems, the software or the project under way, and talk to the people involved.

    Partea ta

Put us in touch with whoever knows the history.

  3. 03

    We explain what we found

In a conversation, in plain words, without terms that make you nod along without understanding.

  4. 04

You get the recommendation in writing

With options, estimated costs and risks. A document you can show anyone, a board included.

  5. 05

    We can stay alongside you

If you want, we can stay in the conversations with suppliers, help check what they deliver, or take on the work ourselves.

What it costs

For consulting we usually work in short, clearly bounded stretches — a few days of analysis, with a written result at the end. You know from the start how long it takes and what it costs.

The first conversation is free and commits you to nothing. After it you get in writing what we would build, how long it takes and what it costs — so you can compare us with anyone else.

What drives the price

  • How large the system or project under review is
  • How many people have to be consulted
  • Whether you need only an opinion or a detailed plan as well
  • Whether you want us alongside you afterwards, in the supplier conversations

How we avoid a conflict of interest

  • If we recommend something we could build ourselves, we say so explicitly and give you the alternatives.
  • You can take the recommendation and work with someone else. There is nothing wrong with that.
  • If the right answer is “do nothing for now”, that is the answer you get.

Frequently asked

Can you review a quote I received from someone else?

Yes. We look at what is being proposed, at the price and at what the quote leaves out, and tell you which questions are worth asking before you sign.

Can you help if we have no technical people at all?

Yes, and that is the usual situation. It is exactly why we explain everything without technical terms.

Do you have to be the ones who build it?

No. Consulting is a separate service. You can take the recommendation to any supplier.

Not sure this is the right service?

Write to us about what is getting in the way, in your own words. We will tell you which option fits — or whether none of them does.
